    • Take the bowl with 1 teaspoon each of sea salt, lemon juice and baking soda.
    • Soak your nails in this mixture for 5 to 10 minutes.

    1. Olive Oil

    Olive oil is an excellent remedy for the weak nails. The oil helps to moisturize the nails. It also promotes repair damage and softens nails and cuticles, which in turn leads to strong & healthy nails.

    Massage the nails thoroughly with some warm olive oil, covering both the top and underside of the nails. Wait 15 minutes, & then clean it off with water. Do this 2 or 3 times regular.

    Alternatively, mix three teaspoons of warm olive oil and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this mixture to the nails using the cotton swab. Allow it to dry, & then put on the pair of soft, cotton gloves. Do this daily before going to bed, and in the morning, wash it off with the warm water.

    Green tea can also make the nails strong & healthy. The antioxidants in green tea help stop brittle nails as well as strengthen them. At the same time, green tea helps reduce yellow discolouring.

    Brew a cup of green tea and allow it to cool. Soak the nails in it for 10 to 15 minutes, twice a week.

    Alternatively, prepare a nail soak with two teaspoons of green tea, a pinch of salt and a few drops of wheat germ oil. Soak the nails in this mixture for 5 minutes, and then wash it off with a dry cloth. Repeat this method twice a week.

    You can also mix the few drops of green tea essential oil with coconut oil or aloe vera gel and massage the nails with it once or twice the week.

    3. Tea Tree Oil

    Tea tree oil is another ingenious ingredient that can repair and strengthen damaged nails. Its antiseptic property helps prevent and treat fungal infections that are frequently the cause of weak and brittle nails. It can also improve discolored or yellow nails.

    Put a few drops of tea tree oil in a small bowl of warm water. Soak the nails in this solution for 3 minutes, a few times a week.
    Alternatively, prepare a solution of the ½ teaspoon of vitamin E oil or jojoba oil and 4 or 5 drops of tea tree oil. Apply this solution on the nails and massage gently for a few minutes. Allow it to dry, and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Do this once per week.

    4. Flaxseeds

    Flaxseeds can also make the nails stronger. The micronutrients in the flaxseeds, such as B vitamins, lecithin, zinc, magnesium, potassium, and protein, are necessary for nail health. Also, they have omega-3 fatty acids required for healthy nails.

    Rub some flaxseed oil on your nails and massage smoothly for a few minutes before going to bed. Wear gloves to retain the moisture.

    Also, include flaxseed in your daily diet. You can add two tablespoons of the ground flaxseed to the cereal or smoothies.

    5. Vitamin E Oil
